Urban Reformation

Tonight we had shepherding group. We watched one of the evangelistic videos that we’re watching in the Proclaim DVD series .

This series has been helpful, but we’ve also been going out after every session and this has proven to be a blessing beyond measure.

It’s been good to build confidence and then go out from these videos and see the hurting people out there on the street. It seems so many understand the gospel but they choose not live it, the say they are covered under Grace.

We met so many people this evening. We saw Nell again who believes in all God’s but we met what seemed like a truckload of others. I’m going to write down the names for those interested in praying for them.

and I believe several more. Antwan is a 31 year old young man who Bobby and Bill spoke to this evening. There seems to be genuine repentance and faith. Time will tell but we were over joyed at what transpired with him this evening. We were able to get him into detox so we pray we’ll be able to get him into the Anchor House in a few days.

Meanwhile Ivan didn’t show up for me to take him to detox this early afternoon but we saw him this evening. I had just received my new bible from Michigan, and although he had told me he went to jail and the bible went with his bag of drugs, he actually had it in cart this evening. He told me what he had to do to get the bible back. I don’t think there are words to describe the feeling of joy when God allowed Ivan to bring back my bible. I was over joyed. We shared Christ with several more people, and finally finished getting Antwon to Detox about midnight.
