My Pastor’s Home Burnt to the Ground Sunday.
These are the ponderings of a guy in the hood this morning, a rather completely insignificant person in the scheme of God’s economy. This last Sunday my pastor’s home burnt down. He lives rather far out in the country. He is dear to His congregation. A rare thing that God has blessed Faith Community Church with, and a myriad of others by the gifting God has given him. God has given Tim the ability to exposit The Word of God, at the same time approach it in a very humble and God fearing way, a rare thing in today’s world. We have been truly blessed by the preaching of the word through Pastor Tim Juhnke.
All this to say this church, the teaching and preaching of it have done masterful things in increasing my own faith, and I have to ponder, to wonder if during this time if the man who’s taught me so much about God’s sovereignty isn’t considering the “why” in his home burning to the ground.I’m sure he is, and I’m prayerful. I would love to say to him there are some homes available in the North East, but instead I will pray.
Well that’s enough said this morning, God is sovereign, and Jason is not by any stretch, may God’s will prevail and not my own.
