About

My name is Jason Dawson I live in Kansas City Missouri, in what is known as “The North East” section of the urban city of Kansas City. I am married to a wonderful woman named Brandy, and I have three beautiful children, Kayla (15), Alexis (10), and my son Ian (9).

We moved to the city over nearly 8 years ago, where we downsized our home, in order for my wife to be able to stay home, and for the opportunity to minister in the inner city of Kansas City, desiring not to minister with our mouths only but if God grants it, with our lives.
 UrbanReformation.com is a result of an understanding of what took place during the Reformation, and in this understanding, passionately and boldly bringing the Gospel into a cold and dying world.  We don’t claim to be “Reformed” but continually “Reforming.”

The greatest desire of Urban Reformation is for God to receive glory through our weakness. That may not make sense to some but we desire for God to increase and us to decrease.  By the truth of His Spirit God will bring men to Himself if we are so blessed to be used by Him. This can only be done by being Transformed by the word of God, Preaching, proclaiming, teaching, others about Christ, and Living out the word in a life devoted and surrendered to Christ ourselves.

In glorifying Him we hope to encourage truth, and solid biblical doctrine in one of the most spiritually bankrupt populations in Kansas City, namely the Urban Core. Although there are churches on many corners you can see this area of Kansas City is still yet a place where there is intense need for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed.

We are hope to encourage others within the Body of Christ and within the City, to have a desire to bring the light of the gospel into the darkness of the Inner City.

Our desire is simply to bring the gospel, balanced with solid biblical doctrine, to re-establish a foundation within the city for a healthy expression of the bride of Christ. We believe by making disciples, and being used as vessels within the inner city, we will join together with the many missionaries around the world in bringing the “Reality” of the Faith of Jesus Christ to the world.
